A solid foundation to build on
Measuring Scope 3 emissions is a complex but necessary challenge, and the first step has been made! The initial focus has been placed on emissions linked to raw materials purchased from suppliers (Scope 3.1).
To support this effort, FEPA launched a survey in January 2025 to help determine which raw materials will be prioritized in the Scope 3.1 assessment. This step is essential to advancing in a structured and methodical way.
The SEAM program has also developed a methodological guide dedicated to Scope 3.1, which includes:
- A clear roadmap
- Established calculation methods
- Key parameters to consider
Additionally, a practical spreadsheet has been created to help facilitate emissions tracking.
The first Scope 3.1 assessment results will be released in the 2nd quarter of 2025
