The first sectorial estimates for Scope 3 are expected to be available by the end of the first quarter 2025!

Scope 3 covers all indirect emissions not captured by Scope 2, including up to 15 categories ranging from goods purchased to emissions generated by product end-of-life.

The complexity of its calculation poses a significant challenge, yet it is essential for obtaining a complete and accurate understanding of our overall carbon footprint.

To address the challenges related to data collection, SEAM members thanks to the support of EFESO have developed a guide to simplify its calculation. This step-by-step approach emphasizes the need to prioritize raw materials to include in the Scope 3 calculation (section 3.1) to begin the work. This is an important step for optimizing Scope 3 calculations in 2025.
