A comprehensive vision of our impact

The SEAM Carbon Footprint Project is expanding to include Scope 3 emissions, which encompass indirect emissions, from suppliers and the broader value chain.

These emissions account for nearly 25% of CO₂ emissions in abrasive production, underscoring the importance of Scope 3 of involving partners throughout the supply chain.

To support this effort, SEAM is developing a new communication model for suppliers, along with a detailed methodological guide for members. These tools will streamline data collection and encourage greater participation.

The first Scope 3 estimations and the new supplier communication model will be introduced to help members engage their partners in sustainability efforts effectively mid-December 2024.
